Location: Clinton Nature Preserve is located on Ephesus Church Rd. in Villa Rica on the west side of Douglas County. Be aware that most locals will tell you that the park is in Douglasville, just in case you are trying to find it. Just take I-20 to exit 30, Post Rd. south. Make your first right onto Ephesus Church Rd and the park is about 1 mile on your right. Park down by the Caretaker's house.
Description: I have not run this site yet but plan to very soon. In the mean time, I'll leave you with this description pulled off a mountain biking website:
"Its got it all, the main loop is 1.5 miles, theres single track in the woods if you take the wooden bridges, powerlines with a section that reminds me of moab utah. There is even a trail that takes you underneath the interstate and to some of the craziest climbing and decents i've ever been on, you can go off the powerlines and explore trails that aren't part of the park, there is even a trail that will take you to some old ostrech farm which is still inhabited by ostriches, lamas, and other things. There are enough trails that will take you all day to ride, probably longer. I should kow I ran cross-country for 4 years for my high school, and we went there about every day."
Sounds like my kind of place.
Maps: I can't find a trail map online but I'm told that Bicycle Outfitters has them available if you stop in. Bicycle Outfitters is located at 4900 Stewart Mill Rd., Douglasville GA 30135. Phone them at (770) 577-6200
